Summer skies, summer skydives

 In Skydiving lessons, Skydiving Meetup

Busy season is almost upon us. The sun is shining and the sky is blue, blue and more blue. Experienced skydivers are coming out to play in the sky in their droves. Our students have been working hard to be able to join them.  Here’s a quick look at what some of them have been up to over the last few weeks.

Jose made his first Solo Skydive (AFF Level 1) with us. This is a short compilation video with his reaction once his feet are on the ground. The air turns a a little blue, like the colour of his new favourite playground. We think he liked it. Maybe. Just a little.

Jose’s girlfriend and friends came to join him in the sky. They made their tandem skydives on the same day. In fact, better than that, we were able to arrange the schedule so that they were all on the same plane. It’s great to share experiences with your friends.

Jose, Montse, Cibran and Adrian were all on the same plane together. Three tandem skydiving and one solo skydiving student. Yeah!

Cibran and Adrian liked their skydive so much they are going to do the Solo Skydiving course themselves!

A quote that inspires me:

“When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breath, to think, to enjoy, to love.”
– Marcus Aurelius, Roman Emperor

Practice in the wind tunnel is the best way to prepare for a successful Solo Skydiving (‘AFF’) course. Ahead of his course, Wess came and flew some tunnel with us. He breezed his skydives and didn’t have to repeat any levels. Good work Wess! Photos by Karli.

If you’re interested in finding out more, why not come and say hi in person? Every month we hold a “Skydiving for Beginners” meet up. We’ll be in the Angel (first floor) on the City Road, near Old Street tube, on Tuesday 7rd June (tomorrow). Pop in anytime after 18:00. We’ll probably make a move about 20:30. More info and RSVP here.
